Fred Taylor was angry with officers for taking him out of his car at gunpoint, handcuffing him, checking his car for weapons and bringing drug-sniffing dogs out, so he yelled at officers, leading to his citation for disorderly conduct, according to the AP.

Our View:We would like to comment, but are involved in fantasy sports here, not social issues, so decide for yourself who was right and who was wrong. Taylor has since apologized and should be good to go Week 1.

Fred Taylor has apologized to team owner Wayne Weaver for his arrest on a disorderly conduct charge over the weekend, according to the AP. He said the whole incident was "very, very petty," and he added, "I’m not going to get into any details. It’s an awkward situation, but I really do, sincerely, from the bottom of my heart, want to apologize to the Weavers and this organization for this type of press. It’s never really good when it’s in the negative light."

Our View:Miami Beach Police spokesman Juan Sanchez said the police report for Taylor's arrest would be available Tuesday. Jaguars' coach Jack Del Rio wasn’t concerned with the situation, even though it was the club's 10th arrest in the last two years.

The Miami Herald indicates that Fred Taylor has been arrested outside a Miami Beach nightclub on charges of disorderly conduct. Taylor was not taken to jail, according to Detective Juan Sanchez, a spokesman for the Miami Beach Police Department. He was instead released outside of Club Cristal on Fifth Street on his own recognizance with a promise to appear in court.

Our View:The exact details of his arrest are unknown, and it remains to be seen if the incident merits a suspension by the NFL.

Fred Taylor is 32-years old, but hasn't lost his quickness during the Jaguars' two-day mini-camp and believes he is still on top of his game, according to Jaguars.com. Taylor commented, "I feel good. I feel real good. I can do it all still. I still think I’m an every-downs back, but because we have a guy the caliber of Maurice Jones-Drew, there’s no need for it."

Our View:Taylor rushed for 1,202 yards in 2007, and seemingly got stronger as the season wore on. He should have at least one more solid season left in the tank, and is looking good so far in the off-season. He could slip further than he should on draft day, due to his age.
February 10, 2008
Fred Taylor was the AFC leading rusher among running backs. Taylor carried the ball three times for 15-yards. Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger led the AFC in rushing with his one carry for 18-yards. Fred's first Pro Bowl wasn't a memorable one from a statistical standpoint.
