Joe Jurevicius has been placed on the PUP list, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Our View:Jurevicius has had at least four surgeries on his right knee, including three for a staph infection. He will not be eligible to return before Week 7, and is not worth waiting for as a fantasy receiver.

Joe Jurevicius, who underwent three knee surgeries over the last seven months, is likely to begin the 2008 season on the PUP list, according to ESPN. GM Phil Savage said, "It's been pretty frustrating for everybody because this started as an innocent knee scope back in January, and it's morphed itself into multiple procedures So it's a bit up in the air right now. He's going to be looked at again obviously next week before we get started and probably will start on that PUP list."

Our View:The PUP list will prevent him from playing in the first six weeks of the season. He is not worth taking a chance on as a fantasy prospect, especially following the addition of Donte' Stallworth to the Browns' aerial attack.

Joe Jurevicius has had four operations on his right knee this year, but he fully intends to play for the Browns this season, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. The paper reports he will start training camp on the physically unable to return list.

Our View:Jurevicius's fantasy value is in serious question because of his knee problems. He was a marginal fantasy wide out last season, and his value is even less for the 2008 campaign.
July 7, 2008
The Akron Beacon Journal is reporting that wide out Joe Jurevicius' health is in question. The team was cryptic in its latest report about J.J's availability for training camp after the latest procedure on his knee. Rumors are flying that Jurevicius might need the dreaded microfracture surgery.

Our View:If Jurevicius is not available for late July camp, the Browns will look to Donte Stallworth more than orginally expected.
July 1, 2008
Joe Jurevicius underwent another surgery on his knee, according to the AP. It was his second knee surgery since January, and may prevent him from participating in training camp on time. Jurevicius experienced swelling and discomfort in his knee related to his first procedure, and the team said in a statement released Tuesday that he had a further "clean out" on Monday to help him recover.

Our View:He was projected to be the Browns' number three receiver this season opposite starters Braylon Edwards and Donte' Stallworth, but now Joshua Cribbs and Travis Wilson look to be the top contenders for the role.
