August 16, 2008 Chad Pennington made his debut with the Dolphins on Saturday night and completed 5-of-6 passes for 55 yards over three drives. The Dolphins scored a touchdown on the second possession and a field goal on their third drive. Pennington also rushed twice for 18 yards. Our View:That's the efficient Pennington that the Dolphins are probably hoping to see all season. He isn't dynamic, but it's tough to argue with 10 points over three drives. It was nice to see Chad hit Ted Ginn twice for 39 yards. |

August 12, 2008 The evidence that Chad Pennington is in fact the starting quarterback for the Dolphins continues to show itself during team practices. John Beck and Josh McCown continue to be bystanders during practice, according to the Our View:Sparano seems to be playing off Pennington's current status. Coaches in the league knows what they have with Pennington, and a team isn't going to sit their starter on the sidelines during the heat of training camp to evaluate a backup. Pennington is the 'Phins starter Week 1 barring an injury. |
