The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Marc Bulger was able to throw footballs yesterday for the first time since injuring his shoulder. However, he topped out at only 15 yards and definitely will not return to action this weekend. "I couldn't get much velocity," Bulger said. "I wouldn't be able to go in and throw deep outs and deep balls."

Rams interim coach Joe Vitt confirmed yesterday that Marc Bulger is not ready to return from his shoulder injury, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. "He’s not going to be ready this week," said Vitt. "At some point, I’m sure (he will play).”

Marc Bulger was knocked out of Sunday's game with a shoulder injury. The initial diagnosis was a bruise. Bulger missed two games last month with a bruised shoulder. He was brilliant before the injury, as he completed 19-of-24 passes for 224 yards and two touchdowns.

It is not known whether Marc Bulger will be able to play against New Orleans on Sunday, according to the AP. Bulger sprained his right shoulder on Monday night against the Colts. "I don't want to assume anything yet, I think that's a hypothetical situation," interim coach Joe Vitt said when asked about possibly losing Bulger. "But I will say this: Jamie Martin was born and raised in this system and knows the system as good as anybody." Vitt said that MRI results were not available.
