Carson Palmer tested his sore groin by practicing in team drills yesterday for the first time this week, but Bengals coach Marvin Lewis has yet to announce whether the quarterback will play at all this weekend, according to the Cincinnati Post.

The Bengals signed Carson Palmer to a nine-year deal worth $118.75 million Thursday, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. The contract will keep Palmer with the Bengals through the 2014 season.

A decision on how much Carson Palmer will play, if at all, on Sunday likely won't come until the morning of the game, according to the Cincinnati Post. Palmer suffered a slight groin strain during last week's contest. "Today is only Wednesday and I still have a number of days to get ready before Sunday," said Palmer. "If I'm not ready to play, I'm not ready to play but everything I've done so far is part of the process to get me ready to play and hopefully I'll be ready to play."

Bengals coach Marvin Lewis must decide this week whether Carson Plamer, who suffered a groin injury on Saturday, will play in Sunday's regular-season finale, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. Asked if Lewis gave him any indication Monday if he would play, Palmer said, "No, it's still early in the week. I still need to get my groin right and then kind of see where we are from there."

The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that Carson Palmer sustained a minor groin injury late in Saturday's game. He said the injury doesn't affect his ability to throw the ball and that he would be ready for Sunday's regular-season finale.
