Carson Palmer practiced Thursday and insisted that nothing is wrong with his throwing shoulder, according to the team's official site. Palmer is fully expected to practice Friday and play in Sunday's critical game at Denver.

Carson Palmer rested his sore shoulder yesterday by not practicing. He is listed as probable by the Bengals and is expected to return to practice today, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. Bengals public relations director Jack Brennan rejected a report that Palmer might have a torn rotator cuff. "He was rested today and is expected to fully participate (Thursday)," Brennan said. "The coaches and trainers (say) he came out of the Indianapolis game with a sore shoulder. Reports of a serious structural injury are unfounded."

"Probably the first quarter is getting the flex and the extension back in your leg, and I have done that fairly quickly," Palmer said Wednesday. "I was ahead of the game on that. Palmer underwent surgery on Tuesday. "It's not just like it was a torn ACL," Dr. Lonnie Paulos said Thursday. "It's a magnitude more difficult to recover from and repair. It can and has ended careers, without a doubt. However, I feel very comfortable with Carson as an athlete and the heart that he's got. In the end, that's the bottom line. "Carson's injury is a lot more complicated than the average ACL injury," Colosimo said. "There are multiple ligaments involved and he essentially dislocated his knee. It's a more complicated operation, and a more complicated course of recovery." If all goes well, Palmer could be back in action in eight or nine months.
