Jaguars receiver Jerry Porter has let it be known that he wants to see the ball come his way more often, according to the Florida Times-Union. "Who's made a big play when the ball ain't thrown to him? So throw the ball to me. I'll catch it. That's it," Porter said.

Our View:Porter has played in just one contest this year due to injury, and he caught one pass for a measly six yards. Jacksonville's game is based on pounding the rock with Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew, so Porter will have to accept that fact.

Jaguars inactives: FS Reggie Nelson, LB Justin Durant, C Brad Meester, G Chris Naeole, G Charles Spencer, WR Troy Williamson, WR Dennis Northcutt, DT Tony McDaniel.

Our View:The big news here is wide receiver Jerry Porter being active for the first time this season. Better news for Porter is the fact that both Troy Williamson and Dennis Northcutt are inactive this week.

For the first time this season, Jaguars high-priced free-agent wide receiver Jerry Porter is expected to play Sunday versus Houston, according to NFL.com.

Our View:Porter missed much of training camp and Jacksonville’s first three games with a torn hamstring. It has been slow to heal, but Porter now is well enough to play and the Jaguars plan to use him Sunday. From a fantasy perspective it's always risky to start a player their first week back from a prolonged absence due to injury. However, on the positive side, Porter has practiced fully this week, and with six NFL teams on "bye" he could be a serviceable starter, if you're in a pinch at the wide receiver position.

Jaguars receiver Jerry Porter does not seem to be urgently attempting to get back on the field in Jacksonville, according to Pro Football Weekly.

Our View:Porter had hamstring surgery, and it was thought that he would be able to play this week. Nothing seems to have changed on that front, but this report should not inspire confidence in his fantasy viability.

Jerry Porter is expected to make his regular season debut with the Jaguars this weekend against the Texans, according to the AP. He has recovered from hamstring surgery.

Our View:Porter would be a risky fantasy option in his first game back. The Texans' pass defense is ranked fifth in the NFL in yards allowed per game.
