March 26, 2008 The New York Jets signed tight end Bubba Franks not to bring in a new starter, but to mentor emerging incumbent Chris Baker, according to USA Today. Franks, who played in only eight games last season with Green Bay because of a torn knee ligament that didn't require surgery, caught a career-low 18 passes last season. He should be a reliable back-up and possible red zone threat in the Big Apple. |
