The Bengals' team website reports Shayne Graham (groin) didn't kick before Sunday's game and has been made inactive. Dave Rayner will be the Bengals' kicker on Sunday.

Our View:This is tough luck for Graham owners, but he didn't figure to be a great fantasy play anyway with Ryan Fitzpatrick starting at quarterback.

Shayne Graham missed Friday's practice and remains questionable for Sunday's game against the Jets, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Our View:The team will try out kickers for kickoff duty, but Graham is still expected to handle field goals. He will be a risky fantasy option, and could potentially be limited to shorter attempts, especially if the weather conditions are less than ideal at the Meadowlands.
October 9, 2008
The Bengals website reports that Shayne Graham was held out of practice on Thursday with a right groin injury.

Our View:His status for Sunday is uncertain and it was not reported when he suffered the injury. However, he did practice on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the injury report to see if the kicker is able to go on Sunday.

Shayne Graham indicated that he would like a new contract before the start of the new season, according to the Dayton Daily News. He said, "I think they want me here. I want to be here, and I don't see any reason why something won't be taken care of. The time frame? I don't know. But I definitely don't want it to be something that's going on during the season."

Our View:His agent (Rob Roche) and the Bengals are negotiating an extension for Graham, who ranks as the NFL's most accurate active kicker heading into 2008.

Shayne Graham and the Cincinnati Bengals are working on a long-term contract extension, according to the Dayton Daily News.

Our View:Graham nailed 91.2% of his kicks last season and is one of the premier players at his position. If he is available in the last round of fantasy drafts, pull the trigger and select him.
