David Carr had a fantastic outing against the Patriots on Thursday night as he completed 20-of-29 passes for 192 yards and two touchdowns as Eli Manning sat out the game.

Our View:Anthony Wright figures to serve as the third option at quarterback after tonight's outing by Carr. Toss in thee back injury that Wright suffered last week in the game against the Jets, and the call seems almost certain.
August 7, 2008
David Carr had a nice game for the Giants, going 9-of-12 for 91 yards and a touchdown as New York lost to the Lions.

Our View:It is important for Carr to play well, as he is the presumptive backup behind Eli Manning. He obviously has no fantasy value.
July 31, 2008
The AP reports that David Carr hurt his foot while working out a week before camp opened and missed some practice time. Since returning, he has thrown a couple of interceptions, fumbled two snaps and tossed a few questionable passes.

Our View:So far, not so good. It would almost be considered a surprise if the former No.1 overall pick stuck with the Giants. Carr has not fared well at all in the NFL.
July 28, 2008
David Carr passed his physical with the Giants and will continue practicing with the team, according to the Star-Ledger.

Our View:Carr has no chance to push reigning Superbowl MVP Eli Manning for the starting spot at quarterback, and will hold no fantasy value as long as Manning stays intact. Carr held a dismal 58.3 efficiency rating over 136 passing attempts with Carolina in 2007.
March 13, 2008
David Carr signed a one-year contract worth $1 million, and includes playing time incentives, according to the Star-Ledger. Carr, who will serve as the veteran backup to Eli Manning, is aware that he's not competing for the starting job, but is happy about the chance to get his career back on track in a positive, post-Super Bowl championship environment. He is also excited to work with Giants quarterbacks coach Chris Palmer, who was the Texans' offensive coordinator during Carr's first four seasons in Houston.
