Newsbreakers

T.J. Duckett had just five carries for five yards Sunday, but he made them count with a pair of fourth quarter touchdowns.

Our View:T.J. is obviously capable of games like this, but they're impossible to predict, making him a big risk for fantasy owners.

T.J. Duckett, coming off a huge game (79 yards, two scores), will almost certainly lose touches in the club's next game with the expected return of Maurice Morris, according to The Seattle Times. "There is probably a place for Duckett," HC Mike Holmgren said. "Late in the game, some time, there's a place..."

Our View:The club will likely return to the original plan of using Maurice Morris and Julius Jones with Duckett picking up the scraps and possibly some work around the goalline. Now might make a great time to try and move Duckett to an owner who doesn't follow the news very closely.

T.J. Duckett rushed the ball 19 times for 79 yards and two touchdowns on Sunday against the Rams.

Our View:It's unlikely Duckett will have as many touches in any other game this season but he is proving to be an effective goal-line back, thus he holds value in deeper leagues. However, Maurice Morris will absorb more carries when he returns and Duckett may be a good sell-high candidate.
September 9, 2008
With the Seahawks starting running back Maurice Morris out with an injury, T.J. Duckett will move to the back-up role behind Julius Jones, according to the Seattle Times.

Our View:Seahawks head coach Mike Holmgren said that Jones and Duckett will not split time in the backfield but Duckett will see some carries.
August 25, 2008
T.J. Duckett finally showed something, running the ball six times for 46 yards in his team's 18-17 loss to the Chargers in their preseason contest on Monday.

Our View:Duckett had not done much during the preseason, leading to whispers that he could be cut before the season started. But Monday's performance could be enough to keep that from happening.
