MLive.com reported on Monday that the Detroit Lions re-signed TE John Owens to a one-year contract. No word yet as to the terms of the agreement, or if Owens is getting more than league minimum. Detroit has a high body count at the tight end position so Owens would be expected to play a special teams role -- if he can stick after training camp breaks in late August.
