Deion Branch (ACL surgery) will need to practice for at least a week with the team before he will be considered for game action, according to the News Tribune.

Our View:With the injury to Bobby Engram the team might try to push Branch back into action, but even so, it is unknown if Branch will be healthy enough to play by the time Week 1 rolls around.
August 3, 2008
Deion Branch (knee) is progressing well in his comeback and has looked very good in agility drills and running sprints in the first week of practice, according to Pro Football Weekly.

Our View:Branch could still miss the start of the regular season, but that might lower his draft day value to the point of being a steal if he could produce as he has in the past in the second half.
July 30, 2008
As expected, Deion Branch has begun Seahawks' camp on the PUP list as he is still recovering from offseason ACL surgery, according to the Seattle Times.

Our View:His absence will allow Nate Burleson, Logan Payne and Courtney Taylor a chance to join Bobby Engram on the first-team. Branch is hopeful for Week 1 but we don't expect him to start right off the bat. The competition is to great for the veteran to just walk in and land the gig.
July 25, 2008
Deion Branch, who is recovering from ACL surgery, was on the field Friday for individual workouts, according to the Seattle Times. He did agility drills and caught some passes.

Our View:Coach Mike Holmgren stated that he is hopeful Branch will be ready for Week 1 of the regular season. This is encouraging news, as it was previously believed that he might start training camp on the PUP list.
June 12, 2008
Deion Branch is progressing in his recovery from ACL surgery, but HC Mike Holmgren said that Branch may not be able to participate in most, if not all of training camp, according to NFL.com.

Our View:This isn't anything new, as it has been widely reported that Branch may not be ready for Week 1 and might start the year on the PUP list.
