Jabar Gaffney had a big night for New England on Thursday, making seven catches for 86 yards and a touchdown.

Our View:This was only Gaffney's second touchdown of the season, and he hasn't been much of a factor in fantasy because of it.
November 3, 2008
Jabar Gaffney dropped a sure touchdown pass at the end of the third quarter in Sunday night's 18-15 loss to the Colts, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View:Gaffney only has 12 receptions over eight games, and did a good job of falling further out of favor with the team and quarterback Matt Cassel by dropping a score that would likely have changed the outcome of the game for New England.

Wide receiver Jabar Gaffney caught six passes for 51 yards and a touchdown against the Dolphins in Week 3.

Our View:Welcome to the season, Jabar. He didn't have a catch in the first two weeks, thanks in part to a knee injury. If he becomes a favorite target for Matt Cassel, that could be bad news for owners counting on Wes Welker and Randy Moss.

Not if the Patriots haven't gotten enough bad news this week, it seems that Jabar Gaffney is battling a knee injury. Gaffney went through limited practice reps today, according to CBSSportsline.com.

Our View:It looks like Gaffney will be ready to play Sunday despite the injury but in Week 1 he had no catches. Gaffney is only worth a look in deep leagues.
September 8, 2008
The Boston Globe reports that Jabar Gaffney played more snaps than any other Patriot on Sunday but was held without a catch. He was on the field for 95% of the offensive plays.

Our View:Gaffney may still be worth holding onto in very deep leagues, but with the Patriots likely to run the ball more often due to Tom Brady's injury, his value diminishes. Keep an eye on waiver wire options if you own him.
