The Star Tribune reports that Adrian Peterson and Chester Taylor are expected to begin experimenting together in formations that feature both running backs.

Our View:This is actually good news for fantasy owners. The last thing Peterson owners need is for the second-year back to be overused and breakdown. It also means that in deep leagues, Taylor definitely has value.

Chester Taylor remains away from voluntary workouts, but head coach Brad Childress says the running back will join the club on Monday, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Our View:Taylor hasn't been around for a couple weeks, but we're not too worried. He remains a valuable fantasy handcuff to stud Adrian Peterson.

Chester Taylor skipped the Vikings' voluntary workouts, according to ProFootballTalk.com.

Our View:Taylor often works out on his own in the off-season, but may feel like he is being phased out of the Vikings' offense for 2008. Adrian Peterson made a significant impact in Minnesota as a rookie in 2007, and may not split as many carries with Taylor in his sophomore campaign. Taylor rushed 157 times for 844 yards (5.4 YPC average) last season.

The Vikings were without Adrian Peterson Sunday, but their running game certainly didn't suffer, as Chester Taylor torched the Raiders for 164 yards and three TDs on 22 carries. He also added 38 yards on three receptions. It's not clear how long AD will be out, but in the meantime, Taylor will be a solid fantasy option.

Chester Taylor and defensive end Erasmus James fought in the locker room after practice on Wednesday, according to Friday’s Minneapolis Star Tribune. James punched Taylor near the eye, and then Taylor responded by throwing a chair at James. However, the chair missed James and struck offensive tackle Bryant McKinnie.

Our View:Apparently, the quarterbacks aren’t the only people in the Vikings locker room with inaccurate throwing arms. Let’s hear it for McKinnie, who managed to block something for the first time all season.
