Adrian Peterson is inactive today even though he's healthy.

Our View:Peterson's stock has dropped dramatically and shouldn't be owned in fantasy leagues right now.

SI.com reports that Adrian Peterson has received the bulk of first-team snaps for the Bears thus far in camp.

Our View:Rookie Matt Forte is right on his tail. On Sunday, Forte finally worked in with the unit a few times and was used heavily as a receiving back, displaying some nifty moves and steady hands, especially on a one-handed grab in traffic that he took the distance.

The Chicago Sun Times reports that Adrian Peterson is 100% after his June appendectomy. He opened camp as the first-team tailback, but rookie Matt Forte got some time, too.

Our View:Peterson is the incumbent starter in Chicago but faces competition from Forte and newly signed Kevin Jones. AP caught 51 passes last season.

Throwing more uncertainty into an uncertain situation, it was announced that running back Adrian Peterson had an appendectomy, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Our View:The injury isn't expected to keep Peterson out that long, but we don't know exactly when he will be able to return to practice. In his absence, Matt Forte took snaps with the first team.

Adrian Peterson did not practice on Thursday. He is nursing a calf injury, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

Our View:If Peterson sits out this week, rookie Garrett Wolfe will serve as the primary backup for Cedric Benson.
