October 1, 2008 After a rough start to the week Matt Bryant ended Week 4 with a good Sunday. Bryant's young son passed away early in the week but he wanted to kick in the Buccaneer's game versus the Packers. That is exactly what he did and he was named the NFC special teams player of the week, according to Our View:Bryant is 8-for-8 in field goals and has been perfect on extra points (11-for-11). |

September 26, 2008 Matt Bryant isn't certain to suit up for the Bucs in Week 4 as he is still trying to process the loss of his 3-month old sold who suddenly died, according to Our View:First off, our thoughts go out to the entire Bryant family. Secondly, the club has not signed any other kickers this week which leads to the obvious conclusion that Bryant will be on the field this weekend. In an emergency, safety Sabby Piscitelli would be forced to take over. |

September 24, 2008 Tragedy hit the Buccaneers on Wednesday when kicker Matt Bryant's infant son was found dead. Head coach Jon Gruden made the announcement after practice on Wednesday but did not give any details, according to the Our View:The Bucs have not made announcement on the availability of Bryant for Week 4. |
