The Seahawks signed Brian Russell on Tuesday, according to the AP. Terms weren't disclosed. Russell had 52 tackles and an interception last year for the Browns.

The Browns have confirmed that Brian Russell is dealing with a second staph infection in his right elbow, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. He's in a hospital, receiving antibiotic treatment, and hopes to be released by the weekend. Russell is not expected to take part in Week 15's game.

The Browns have already ruled safety Brian Russell out for Week 15, according to the team's website. Russell had a laceration on his elbow re-opened last week against the Steelers and was sent home for treatment.
