The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports that Jeff Reed (calf) will handle all of the kicking duties this weekend, barring a setback. It's one of the injury situations we've been pleasantly surprised by coming into this week," coach Mike Tomlin said. "It looks like he's going to be fine."

Our View:Reed is 9-for-9 on field goal attempts this season. Owners would like to see him get more opportunities and we figure his rate won't stay this low for long.

Steelers kicker Jeff Reed suffered a groin injury in Week 5 versus the Jaguars but according to the AP he will not miss any time. The only thing that might change is that Mitch Berger may take over the kickoff duties until Reed is fully healed.

Our View:Reed has not missed a kick this year in nine attempts and has connected on all 10 of his extra point attempts.

Jeff Reed was 3-for-3 on field goal attempts including the game-winner from 46 yards out. He hit a 49-yard attempt in the first quarter.

Our View:Reed is now 7-for-7 on the season and has one kick from over 50 yards. He is 8-for-8 on PATs and has been one of the most productive kickers in fantasy so far.
September 21, 2008
The AP reports that Jeff Reed hit a career-best 53-yard field goal on Sunday against the Eagles.

Our View:That's some good leg. Reed also hit a 37-yarder and is now 4-for-4 on the season. The Steelers will typically get on the board more than their six points on Sunday and Reed is a nice kicker that may be available on waivers. He is an excellent bye-week fill-in option.
