The Colts expect Dallas Clark to return from his knee injury this weekend, according to the AP. "I think he wants to play and get a few hits before the playoffs," coach Tony Dungy said. "He's looking forward to it and, as of right now, it looks like he will. We haven't decided exactly how much (playing time) that will be, but definitely don't want to play him the whole game." Clark has been out with the injury since Week 12, though he has been able to practice the last two days.

Dallas Clark was able to practice yesterday for the first time since spraining the ACL in his right knee, according to the Indianapolis Star. "He did well," coach Tony Dungy said. "We'll see how he is (today). He would like to play; I think he's planning on playing, looking forward to it. If he comes in and is able to string another good practice (today), I think he will play."

Dallas Clark, who has been out since suffering a knee injury on Nov. 26, is not expected to return in Week 17, according to the Indianapolis Star. There's no guarantee he'll be ready for the first round of the playoffs, either.

It was originally thought that Dallas Clark tore his ACL, but coach Tony Dungy said a recent MRI "was really encouragaging," according to the Indianapolis Star. "He's not going to play this week," Dungy said of Clark, "but it's maybe not season-ending. We just have to monitor it and see how it goes in the next week to 10 days."

There's been speculation that Dallas Clark may have a torn anterior cruciate ligament, the AP reports. The Colts have yet to make a public declaration, claiming they are waiting for MRI results, but it could be telling that the team signed Ricky Proehl Monday. Although Clark is a tight end on the roster, he's been used as a slot receiver for much of the year with Brandon Stokley missing considerable time.

Dallas Clark left yesterday's preseason game in the first quarter with what the Colts said was a concussion, according to the Indianapolis Star. He returned to the game soon after and disagreed with the initial prognosis. "I just got my bell rung," he said. "Nothing to worry about."
