Anquan Boldin continued his fantastic season Sunday, catching 13 passes for 186 yards in the win over the Seahawks.

November 10, 2008
Anquan Boldin picked up two more touchdowns on Monday night as the Cardinals held on to beat the 49ers 29-24. He had seven catches for 92 yards and also carried the ball three times for 19 yards.

Our View:Despite missing two games earlier this season, Boldin leads all receivers with 10 touchdowns. He is adding another great season to a fantastic career.
November 2, 2008
Anquan Boldin led the Cardinals with six receptions for 85 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-13 win over the Rams.

October 28, 2008
Anquan Boldin leads all NFL receivers with seven touchdowns despite missing two games due to a facial injury, according to the East Valley Tribune.

Our View:The Cardinals are getting great play out of quarterback Kurt Warner, as he currently leads the league with a 70.2 completing percentage, and ranks third with a 102.1 efficiency rating. Boldin has scored a touchdown in four straight outings, and will have a good chance to extend the streak this weekend with a favorable match-up against the Rams.
October 26, 2008
Wide receiver Anquan Boldin returned from facial surgery to catch nine balls for 63 yards and two scores in the Week 8 loss to Carolina.

Our View:Not only did Boldin display warrior-like tendencies in returning from a brutal injury so quickly, but he has now scored in each of the past four games (that he has played in) for a total of seven touchdowns.
October 26, 2008
Anquan Boldin will start today and will not be limited, according to FOX Sports' John Czarnecki. He is coming back from facial surgery.

Our View:Boldin has a tough matchup against Carolina, but you shouldn't have any reservations about starting him.
October 25, 2008
Coach Ken Whisenhunt did not make a guarantee, but noted that Anquan Boldin is likely to play Sunday at Carolina, according to the East Valley Tribune. Whisenhunt said, "We’ll see how ‘Q’ feels when we get to Carolina. It looks good. He’s had a good week of practice. He’s done just about everything. At the same time, I don’t want to say for sure that he’s going to play until we actually travel there." Boldin added, "I’m feeling good. I hope nothing changes until game time."

Our View:This is encouraging news for fantasy owners, but he could be limited in the game, and the Panthers currently field one No. 2 ranked pass defense.
October 23, 2008
Anquan Boldin took part in most of practice on Thursday, according to the Arizona Republic. He is returning from a fractured sinus and said earlier in the day that he would play in Week 8.

Our View:Arizona takes on a Carolina defense that is second in the NFL in pass defense, and the amount of snaps Boldin would receive is unknown at this point, so his fantasy value is not at it's peak for this game.
October 23, 2008
Cardinals receiver Anquan Boldin said on teammate Bertrand Berry's radio show that he would play in Week 8, according to AzCardinals.com. "I’ve been cleared by the doctors. They said everything looked good, actually looked better than they expected," Boldin said.

Our View:Arizona takes on a Carolina defense that is second in the NFL in pass defense, and the amount of snaps Boldin would receive is unknown at this point, so his fantasy value is not at it's peak for this game.
October 22, 2008
Despite being cleared by doctors, Anquan Boldin is not certain he will play this Sunday, according to the AP. “Everything felt good," Boldin said. “I went out and kind of head-butted some guys to try to see how I feel. I didn’t feel any pressure from it, so it felt good for the first day."

Our View:Barring any setbacks, we expect the All-Pro wideout to be ready to go on Sunday. He fractured his sinus cavity earlier in the season.
October 22, 2008
The Arizona Republic is reporting that Anquan Boldin has been cleared by doctors to return to the field.

Our View:Barring any setbacks this week in practice, Boldin should be back on the field this weekend against the Panthers.
October 22, 2008
Barring a setback, Anquan Boldin is expected to return to the gridiron this weekend at Carolina, according to Adam Schefter of NFL.com.

Our View:He feels sufficiently recovered from his concussion, two facial fractures, and the surgery he had to install eight plates in his jaw. While this is encouraging news, the Cardinals are yet to announce that he will be back.
October 22, 2008
Anquan Boldin had the wires removed from his surgically repaired jaw yesterday, and practiced with the Cardinals today, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View:Boldin will likely go through all the workouts this week, but the source believes he could be a game-time decision Sunday in Carolina.
October 21, 2008
Injured receiver Anquan Boldin made his return to the practice field, according to the Cardinals official web site. The receiver admitted he thought there might be problems slipping a helmet back on his head after his vicious facial injury. Boldin said wearing a helmet didn’t bother him at all and he hoped to play in Carolina this weekend.

Our View:If the Cardinals can get Boldin back in the lineup, Kurt Warner and the team will look to continue their recent run. Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald make up one of the best one-two punches at receiver in the league.
October 20, 2008
Anquan Boldin has a shot to be medically cleared Tuesday, but disclosed that his injuries sustained after a brutal helmet-to-helmet hit by Eric Smith in Week 4 were more serious than the Cardinals said, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View:Boldin didn't suffer a simple facial fracture against the Jets on September 28. The injuries were so extensive that it took eight plates to repair them. He also had wires inserted in his lower jaw to correct his bite and suffered a concussion. Boldin has been lifting weights and running routes and said he is hopeful of playing Sunday at Carolina.
October 12, 2008
QB Brian St. Pierre (3rd), DB Oliver Celestin, FB Tim Castille, T Elliot Vallejo, T Brandon Keith, DT Alan Branch, WR Anquan Boldin, TE Ben Patrick.

Our View:Steve Breaston makes his second straight start in place of Anquan Boldin, who is out with a head injury. On the defensive side of the ball, strong safety Adrian Wilson (hamstring) is active.
October 10, 2008
Updating an earlier report, Anquan Boldin has been ruled out for Week 6, according to the AP.

Our View:Steve Breaston will take his place in the starting lineup opposite Larry Fitzgerald. Arizona has a bye in Week 7.
October 10, 2008
The chances that Cardinals wideout Anquan Boldin will play on Sunday against the Cowboys are extremely slim, even though he has not been ruled out for the game, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View:Boldin was at the team's practice, yet did not participate and left early. He had surgery on his sinus to fix a fracture just a week ago.
October 9, 2008
The Cardinals' website reports that Anquan Boldin returned to the team's practice facility on Thursday but was not able to practice. There's a chance he could practice tomorrow.

Our View:He is returning from a fractured sinus cavity and it would surprise us if he was ready to go on Sunday. Once he does return, he will still be one of the top wideouts in the game.
October 6, 2008
The Arizona Republic suggests that Anquan Boldin could miss Week 6 against Dallas.

Our View:The Cardinals do not intend to rush him back, which is reasonable since the team is 3-2 at the top of the NFC West and Steve Breaston is performing well in Boldin's absence.
October 3, 2008
Cardinals receiver Anquan Boldin had surgery on Thursday to repair a facial fracture, according to the East Valley Tribune.

Our View:Boldin will definitely be out on Sunday, and it remains a distinct possibility that he will be out the following week as well.
October 1, 2008
Anquan Boldin missed the opening portion of Wednesday's practice, according to the Cardinals' official website. He is suffering from a fractured sinus membrane.

Our View:Boldin is slated to meet with the media after the workout. We will keep you posted on his status for this weekend's game against Buffalo.
September 30, 2008
Anquan Boldin has a fractured sinus membrane and required a couple of stitches to his lip due to Sunday's collision against the Jets, according to the Palm Beach Post.

Our View:His status for Week 5 against Buffalo remains in question.
September 29, 2008
Anquan Boldin's playing status for Week 5 is unknown as the team is yet to determine if he sustained a concussion during Sunday's brutal on-field collision against the Jets, according to the Cardinals' official website.

Our View:He is alert and passed all the spinal and neurological tests in New York (at Mt. Sinai). The Cardinals will host the unbeaten Bills in Week 5.
September 29, 2008
Anquan Boldin returned home Monday after a brutal collision during Sunday's game against the Jets at the Meadowlands, according to the AP.

Our View:Boldin underwent a battery of tests at Mt. Sinai hospital that all came back negative. He was released from the hospital and flew home aboard team president Michael Bidwill’s private plane. We will keep you posted on his status for Week 5 against Buffalo. Boldin is off to a great start with 27 receptions for 366 yards and five scores over the first four weeks.
September 28, 2008
Boldin had precautionary tests for a head injury on Sunday, but tests were negative and he was able to move all of his extremities after taking a helmet-to-helmet hit on Sunday and leaving in an ambulance, reports the Arizona Republic. "The tests were all negative, which is great news, and it looks like he'll be heading back with us tonight." team president Michael Bidwill said. Boldin also needed stiches for a cut to his lip.

Our View:This is obviously very good news for what looked like a scary situation at the time. We will continue to provide updates on his status throughout the week.
September 28, 2008
Boldin left Sunday's game in an ambulance following a helmet-to-helmet hit. He was taken to the hospital for evaluation, but Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt said that he had movement in all extremeties, according to The Sports Network.

Our View:It was a scary situation on the field, but it is good to hear that Boldin is okay. We will continue to update his status when we know more.
September 28, 2008
Wide receiver Anquan Boldin caught 10 balls for 119 yards and a touchdown in the Week 4 loss to New York.

Our View:Afer four games, Boldin has compiled 366 yards and five touchdowns. He is a top-five fantasy receiver in all formats.
September 28, 2008
There's positive news out about wide receiver Anquan Boldin. A league source informs Pro Football Talk that Boldin did not suffer a neck injury in Week 4, and he has full use of his extremities. He was knocked out by a helmet-to-helmet hit late in the fourth quarter against the Jets.

Our View:This early report sounds positive, but we still need to worry about if Boldin suffered a concussion. Anyway, fantasy owners should be breathing a little easier.
September 28, 2008
Wide receiver Anquan Boldin was carted off the field during the fourth quarter of the Week 4 loss to the Jets. He took a helmet-to-helmet hit and was motionless on the field for several minutes before being taken away.

Our View:We'll update Boldin's status as soon as more is known. We're obviously very concerned right now.
September 28, 2008
Wide receiver Anquan Boldin (hamstring) is active for the Week 4 game against the Jets.

Our View:Fantasy owners can feel free to use the stud wideout.
September 26, 2008

Our View:The ailment is considered minor and he is still expected to play in Sunday's game against the Jets.
September 21, 2008
Anquan Boldin caught three balls for 25 yards and one touchdown in the Week 3 loss to Washington.

Our View:Boldin has now scored four touchdowns in the past two weeks.
September 14, 2008
Arizona receiver Anquan Boldin ripped the Dolphins to shreds, catching six passes for 140 yards and three touchdowns in the Cardinals 31-10 win over Miami.

Our View:Boldin and teammate Larry Fitzgerald, who caught six passes for 153 yards, are the best receiving duo in the NFL, and each can be starters on fantasy squads.
September 12, 2008
Anquan Boldin's agent twice stated that his client would like to play for the Dolphins, according to the Palm Beach Post. The Cardinals play the Dolphins this weekend and Boldin's agent said, "It’s a shame that he’ll be wearing a Cardinals uniform against the Dolphins, than the other way around."

Our View:Drew Rosenhaus (his agent) said that three teams offered the Cardinals a first-round draft pick for Boldin at April’s NFL Draft. The Cardinals turned down each offer, but Rosenhaus believes a first-round pick will be included in any deal for Boldin.
September 7, 2008
Anquan Boldin recorded all eight of his catches for 82 yards in the second half of the Cardinals' season opening 23-13 win over the 49ers.

Our View:Boldin was targeted only three times in the first half, and it appeared that the Cardinals game-planned at half-time to throw more in the direction of the big receiver after the break.
September 5, 2008
The Arizona Republic reports that Anquan Boldin's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, maintains that his client wants to be traded out of Arizona. He says there is no chance of Boldin signing an extension with the Cardinals.

Our View:Apparently this will not effect Boldin's play this season according to the receiver. However, we've seen disgruntled players go both ways as far as production.
September 3, 2008
Anquan Boldin was previously displeased with his contract and not on good terms with coach Ken Whisenhunt, but he has now changed his tune, according to the Arizona Republic. He said, "It ain't worth it, man. My teammates work too hard, and I know I'm a big part of the process with this program. If I held out or did anything like that, I'd be letting them down."

Our View:Boldin is in good spirits and working his way back onto the right side of the staff, namely Whisenhunt. Boldin likely slipped in fantasy drafts due to his feud with the team, but owners that scooped him up look to be rewarded with another strong campaign from him.
August 30, 2008
Despite recent rumors, the Dallas Cowboys are not in pursuit of disgruntled Cardinals receiver Anquan Boldin, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Our View:The Cowboys currently possess just two healthy receivers, those being Terrell Owens and Patrick Crayton. One member of the front office said Joe Horn isn't among the top 20 guys on the Cowboys' free agent receiver wish list. Another member of the front office said there weren't any veterans worth adding to the roster. Jerry Jones said he'd rather use players that Tony Romo has some familiarity throwing passes to at this late date. Besides, how much is a young receiver who has just been cut going to help this team. He did his due diligence when it came to Anquan Boldin, Roy Williams and Chad Johnson. He inquired about the asking price for those players and decided it wasn't worth the price.
August 23, 2008
The Miami Herald believes the rumor circulating that the Dolphins are talking to agent Drew Rosenhaus about Anquan Boldin is false. The Dolphins have not gotten permission from the Cardinals to talk about Boldin, and would be guilty of tampering if they proceeded.

Our View:It is true that Boldin still wants out of Arizona, and it is also true that he would consider Miami a landing spot, but it is not true that the Dolphins and the star receiver are talking.
August 20, 2008
Anquan Boldin does not believe his issue with the Cardinals can be resolved, according to the AP. He reiterated that he has no relationship with coach Ken Whisenhunt and said, "I'm a football player. That's about it. If I'm not going to be treated fairly, if my hard work and loyalty isn't going to be rewarded here, then let me go somewhere where it's going to be rewarded. That's how I feel."

Our View:A team spokesman said the Cardinals have no plans to trade the sixth-year standout and still hope to sign him to a contract extension. Boldin should not be downgraded as a top-15 fantasy receiver at this time.
August 19, 2008
Anquan Boldin practiced on Tuesday despite the rift with his head coach and his request to be traded. "It's a tough situation, especially when you come into a working environment," Boldin tells the AP. "But my job is to stay professional. I'm going to do what I'm supposed to do." The disgruntled receiver says he does not believe his issues with the team can be resolved.

Our View:It goes without saying that fantasy owners should be glued to this situation. Boldin is a high-end fantasy receiver, and the two sides appear to be at an impasse. We'll obviously be following this story closely. For the record, Steve Breaston would likely stand to start if Boldin left camp or was traded.
August 19, 2008
Anquan Boldin has been upset with Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt for getting involved in his contract dispute, and the wide receiver said that the two do not communicate. However, Whisenhunt claims that simply is not true, according to the Arizona Republic. "At least, if communicating is talking - that's what we've been doing at practice," Whisenhunt said.

Our View:Boldin probably isn't going to appreciate the fact that his coach basically just called him a liar. The team continues to insist it will not move Boldin, nor will it give him a new contract.
August 19, 2008
The Arizona Cardinals have said they will not trade wide receiver Anquan Boldin, who recently requested the move, according to the Arizona Republic. This comes after Boldin publicly voiced his displeasure with head coach Ken Whisenhunt. "At this point we have no relationship, and I don't see that changing. It's just gotten to a point where I think lines were crossed. If you ask me, coaches should be coaches, management should be management, and I don't think those lines should be crossed," Boldin said.

Our View:There has been speculation that Boldin is so disenfranchised with the Cardinals that he may walk out of training camp. This situation bears watching for fantasy owners, as Boldin is one of the top receivers in the league when healthy.
August 18, 2008
ESPN's Chris Mortensen has said that Anquan Boldin and his agent have again let the Cardinals know that Boldin would like to be traded. Boldin is unhappy with his contract.

Our View:It doesn't sound like Boldin is a threat to hold out, but it's clear that he wants to get paid or to be moved to another franchise. The Eagles supposedly have some interest in acquiring Boldin, but you can bet teams will line up to trade for him should Arizona make it known that he's available.
August 10, 2008
Cardinals receiver Anquan Boldin went through his first full practice for the first time since injuring his hamstring two days into camp, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View:When Boldin is healthy, he is one of the premier receivers in the game, and a huge asset to fantasy owners.
August 9, 2008
After missing a large portion of training camp and the team's first preseason game, Cardinals wide out Anquan Boldin should be healthy enough to return to practice, reports the Arizona Republic.

Our View:Good news for fantasy owners who are depending on Boldin to put up his usual stellar numbers.
August 8, 2008
Anquan Boldin didn't play in the Cardinals first game but he did participate in some positional drills before their preseason opener, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View:Boldin appears to be in line to return to practice next week and is hopeful of playing in the Cardinals game next Saturday.
August 4, 2008
Cardinals wide receiver Anquan Boldin will miss the team's opening preseason game against New Orleans due to a strained hamstring, according to the AP.

Our View:Boldin had an MRI earlier on the hamstring and there was no major damage found. The Cardinals are doing the right thing by holding him out, as there is no reason for the team to rush him back until he is 100%.
August 1, 2008
Anquan Boldin's MRI showed no major damage in his left hamstring, according the the Arizona Republic. Boldin is expected to return to practice early next week.

Our View:The good news is that he appears to have avoided a major injury, though he is still unhappy about his current contract situation. If he returns to action next week as planned, there should be little reason to be concerned moving forward.
July 31, 2008
Anquan Boldin will undergo an MRI according to the Arizona Republic. The MRI will be performed on Friday morning to make sure there is no significant damage to his strained hamstring. He's missed the past four practice days.

Our View:The MRI could reveal a bruised ego over his inability to get a contract of the same level as teammate Larry Fitzgerald. He has been disgruntled about his current contract throughout the summer. However, there has not been a major concern with his hammy reported until now.
July 30, 2008
The Arizona Republic reports that Anquan Boldin is still out of camp but it's hoped he can return by early next week, at the latest. He has a strained hamstring.

Our View:Boldin is trying to get a new contract worked out and this may be a way of showing his disappointment. Expect him to have another strong season. Actually, it will probably be a more impressive season if he has to play for a deal rather than get one now.
July 27, 2008
Anquan Boldin strained his right hamstring during practice Saturday, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View:The injury isn't believed to be serious, but he may miss some time as a precaution and to be sure the injury heals properly.
July 24, 2008
Anquan Boldin says he won't re-sign with the Cardinals, according to the East Valley Tribune. He is unhappy that his contract has not been re-negotiated, and will leave for another team next season. He intends to play out the final year of his contract with the Cardinals this season.

Our View:He has been among the most productive receivers in the NFL since his rookie campaign in 2003, when he hauled in 101 receptions for 1,377 yards and eight scores. He should have another strong season in 2008, especially since he will likely be playing with a chip on his shoulder.
July 23, 2008
As hoped, the Cardinals watched two of their top contributors, receiver Anquan Boldin and defensive lineman Darnell Dockett, report for the start of training camp despite ongoing contract negotiations that currently sit as frustrations for the players, according to the East Valley Tribune.

Our View:Boldin did not speak to reporters, but Dockett expressed his desire to stay hard at work while his agent (Drew Rosenhaus) and the team iron things out. With four years remaining on his current deal, it is hard to assert Dockett has much room to complain, but for Boldin, the story is much different. He has proven his mettle and ability and worked to benefit the team in his financial numbers, only to watch fellow receiver Larry Fitzgerald break the bank with a monsterous new contract. If the team can't get him happy, it is fair to suggest he could leave camp and engage in a holdout effort to get things right. It is a tentative situation for the Cardinals, so keep track on the progress of this story.
July 21, 2008
AZcentral.com reports that Anquan Boldin will report on time to training camp despite disappointment with his current contract.

Our View:This could go one of two ways. A disgruntled Boldin gives poor effort and fails to build chemistry with the rest of the offense or a motivated Boldin gives 110% in hopes of getting a bigger deal following the season. Of course, an extension could still be worked out before the season. We'll keep you posted.
July 17, 2008
Drew Rosenhaus said via youtube.com that he hopes to have an extension completed between Anquan Boldin and the Arizona Cardinals by the start of training camp.

Our View:This appears to be wishful thinking. Camp starts on July 23. There is no knowledge whether Boldin would hold out without a deal in place.
June 30, 2008
Cardinals' GM Rod Graves is in contact with Anquan Boldin's agent (Drew Rosenhaus) regarding a new deal, according to the Arizona Republic. Graves would like to get a deal done, but acknowledged that a more realistic "window" is some time this fall. Graves wants to make sure the Cardinals have the cap space to deal with possible injuries in training camp and the start of the season.

Our View:Cardinals' officials remain confident that Boldin will report to camp on time and not pay the penalty in fines of $14,000 a day. Boldin is working under a contract that pays him an average of about $4 million a year.
June 14, 2008
Anquan Boldin isn't sure if he'll show up for training camp as he attempts to force the Cardinals to give him a new contract. "I honestly can’t say at this point," he informs the team's official web site. The Cardinals have publicly stated that they plan to offer a new deal for Boldin. The franchise signed to a four-year, $40 million deal this spring.

Our View:At this point, we don't expect Boldin to take his issues to another level and threaten a long-term holdout that lasts into the regular season. He's established enough that a little missed time in camp wouldn't hurt his value very much.
May 20, 2008
The Arizona Cardinals have been battling to appease wideout Anquan Boldin with hopes of getting him on the field for off-season workouts, but the Pro Bowl receiver failed to show for the team's voluntary organized team activities today, according to the East Valley Tribune.

Our View:The workouts are considered voluntary but the hope is to see veteran stars on hand to mentor the incoming young prospects. Boldin has been miffed since fellow receiver Larry Fitzgerald was granted a sizable new contract and now is seeking to renegotiate a deal of his own. General manager Rod Graves has told reporters Boldin's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, has been pushing the Cardinals to trade his client, but Boldin has expressed a desire to stay in Arizona in his own discussions with the press.
May 3, 2008
We have sent forward several reports on the status of Arizona WR Anquan Boldin , reportedly involved in a requested contract renegotiation that had led the talented wideout to request a trade to a new home. Boldin took time at the team's recent mini-camp sessions to approach the topic with reporters, claiming he never asked to be traded, according to AZCentral.com.

Our View:"I went to sleep one night, woke up the next morning and was disgruntled. I wanted out of Arizona and all this stuff," said Boldin, followed by laughs. "And I hadn't even talked to anybody. It was funny to see the reports going around, especially around the draft time." Boldin and agent Drew Rosenhaus were rumored to have asked for a trade as talks of a contract extension had stalled. Fellow WR Larry Fitzgerald got a sizable new contract, making nearly double what Boldin is paid. Boldin's current contract runs through 2010, and reports that stake claim to the fact he has missed early season workouts due to this mess are incorrect as Boldin reports he has a "tweeked" hamstring.
May 2, 2008
The Arizona Cardinals arrived at the team's facility to prepare for the team's first mandatory minicamp, and wide receiver Anquan Boldin was in attendance, according to the Arizona Republic. There has been speculation that Boldin wouldn’t attend due to contract issues, but the team leader and consummate professional was in the house.
April 23, 2008
The Arizona Cardinals have no interest in dealing wide receiver Anquan Boldin, despite trade inquiries from other teams and a trade request by Boldin's agent, according to ESPN. "We're not interested in trading Anquan," general manager Rod Graves said. "That's the short of it." Boldin is reportedly unhappy with his contract after the organization re-signed fellow receiver Larry Fitzgerald to a four-year, $40 million deal.

Our View:The Washington Redskins and Philadelphia Eagles have both made inquires into the availability of Boldin, but for now Arizona is standing pat.
April 22, 2008
Despite recent reports that he felt things would work out fine, Arizona WR Anquan Boldin has requested to be traded, according to NFL.com.

Our View:Adam Schefter reports the negotiations between Boldin's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, and team management have gone rather poorly and it is apparent the rift following the new contract signed by Larry Fitzgerald (paying the fellow wideout $10 million per season, versus the $4 million Boldin is set to make) has created a divide that may not be overcome. Stay tuned for further updates.
March 18, 2008
Anquan Boldin hopes the Arizona Cardinals will address his contract situation this year, but he’s not stressing about it, according to The Arizona Republic. "I leave that up to my agent (Drew Rosenhaus)," Boldin said Monday after working out at the team's facility. "They'll go back and forth. He'll keep me in the loop for the most part, but I can't be worried about that. I think when players get involved in that, that starts to affect their play on the field.” Despite posting comparable statistics, wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald is making $10 million per season to Boldin’s $4 million. Boldin has no plans to be a distraction to the organization – stating he would attend the Cardinals’ entire offseason program.
March 13, 2008
The Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins and Dallas Cowboys could explore the availability of receiver Anquan Boldin, according to FanNation. All of these teams have attempted to acquire a big-name receiver during the offseason, and could be interested in trading for Larry Fitzgerald’s sidekick in Arizona. Last season, Arizona offered Boldin a contract extension, but he told them to wait until Fitzgerald’s deal was extended. It’s highly unlikely that Arizona will move Boldin, who is considered a team leader and key component in the Cardinals passing game. However, they are eventually going to have to extend Boldin, because he’s being paid only $2.5 million in 2008, with slight increases over the next couple of seasons.
March 12, 2008
The Arizona Cardinals will “take care of their own” instead of chasing free agents on the open market, according to the Arizona Republic. General manager Rod Graves made it clear yesterday that the Cardinals weren't going to go on a shopping spree in free agency now that Larry Fitzgerald’s deal is completed. Instead the organization will now turn to receiver Anquan Boldin, who makes far less now than Fitzgerald. Boldin is a highly valued team leader, who will likely be involved in trade rumors going forward, but the team is not expected to deal him.
February 10, 2008
Anquan Boldin would like to see his contract reworked leaving the Cardinals to deal with both of their top WR salary requests this off-season (Larry Fitzgerald is the other). Boldin battle multiple injuries all year and gutted things out to the tune of 71 receptions, 853 yards and nine TD. Fitzgerald is the more explosive of the duo, but its Boldin who moves the chains with the tough catches. Look for a deal to get done. Arizona Republic
