Tyrone Calico faces indictment on drunken driving charges after a judge Tuesday sent his case to the grand jury, according to the AP. Calico was arrested just before 3 a.m. on February 20, and charged with drunken driving and implied consent. Police said Calico weaved over the center line before they pulled him over. He admitted drinking, and refused a breathalyzer test. He said during a recess that he was working to clear the charges because his knee is feeling better and he is scheduled to play for Calgary this season in the CFL.

Our View:Calico had great size at 6-4, and ran the 40-yard dash in 4.34, and flashed great potential in Tennessee, but he could not overcome knee and hamstring injuries, and was ultimately released prior to the 2006 season.

Former Titans receiver Tyrone Calico worked out with the Dolphins on Tuesday, according to the Palm Beach Post. Calico was cut by the Titans earlier this month after struggling with knee injuries the past two seasons.

Tyrone Calico is expected to take part in the Titans' final preseason game, according to the Tennessean. Having missed the other games with injuries, he may have to put on a good performance just to make the roster.

Tyrone Calico hasn't played in a preseason game yet due to a hamstring injury, according to the Tennessean. He may not even make the roster if he can't get into the mix soon. "We need to get Ty on the field practicing," coach Jeff Fisher said. "I'm not in a position to talk about whether he's going to make the team or not, but it would be advantageous to him — for him and the club — to go out and make plays."
