June 24, 2008 Running back Musa Smith, who has been hampered by injuries during his five-year tenure with Baltimore, looked sharp during the New York Jets' recent mini-camp and could earn a spot on the roster if he contributes on special teams, according to the Our View:Smith is mired on the depth chart behind Thomas Jones, Leon Washington and Jesse Chatman. His best chance to make the roster will be to contribute on special teams, and given his size, could be given a shot at backing up Tony Richardson at fullback. |

He has been the third-down back for the Ravens the last couple years, but Washington has a firm grasp on those duties in New York. |
