The Seahawks signed backup quarterback Seneca Wallace to a three-year extension on Tuesday. "I'm glad to be here in Seattle," he told the Seattle Times. "I've been here five years, and I have no complaints about anything." The new contact is worth $5.4 million with $3.2 million coming in the first two seasons, according to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. Wallace will continue to be Matt Hasselbeck’s backup for the near future, but his fantasy value is nonexistent.

Seneca Wallace will go back to his No. 2 role next Monday against Green Bay, with Matt Hasselbeck ready to return, head coach Mike Holmgren said Monday.

The Seahawks announced on Thursday that they signed Seneca Wallace to a one-year contract extension in August, according to the AP. Wallace is scheduled to make $800,000 next season. The contract contained a signing bonus of approximately $1 million.
October 29, 2006
Seneca Wallace made his first career start on Sunday and put up surprisingly good fantasy numbers. Playing in place of Matt Hasselbeck, Wallace completed just 15-of-30 passes for 198 yards, but he had three touchdown passes. Wallace was also intercepted twice.
October 23, 2006
Seneca Wallace figures to be the Seahawks starting QB for at least three weeks while Matt Hasselbeck rehabs a knee injury, the AP reports. Seattle plays at Kansas City next week, then hosts Oakland and St. Louis after that. Wallace is an athletic quarterback and one of the fastest at that position in the league, but his passing leaves a lot to be desired, and he's also undersized for a quarterback (5-11, 196 pounds). Wallace has yet to make a start in his four-year career, throwing 52 passes in nine different games.
