Linebacker Lance Briggs notched 11 solo tackles and two assists in the Week 10 loss to Tennessee.

Our View:Briggs has compiled 21 solo tackles in the last two games.

Bears linebacker Lance Briggs will not be fined by the NFL after a hit on Carolina quarterback Jake Delhomme, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. Delhomme was scrambling and began to slide to the ground when Briggs hit him.

Our View:The Panthers were none too pleased with Briggs, but the league deemed it a legal play, as did the referees during the game, who did not throw a flag.

Linebacker Lance Briggs and cornerback Charles Tillman were both excused from minicamp practice on Sunday to deal with personal issues, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Our View:The Bears offseason has mostly been filled with chaos and bad news, but it sounds like there's really nothing to read into their absences.

Chicago Bears linebacker Lance Briggs, who made headlines last year after wrecking his luxury car and fleeing the scene, has run afoul of the law again, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. Briggs, who was ordered to do 120 hours of community service and placed on probation, has only done two hours of community work and left the state without the judge's permission.

Our View:As a result, Briggs has been ordered to court on June 19 to explain to Judge Earl Hoffenberg why he left the state without permission and how he plans to complete his community service within the next five months.

Brian Urlacher isn't the only Bears linebacker skipping workouts. Lance Briggs has not been at any of the voluntary sessions that began on April 6, and he has cost himself $250,000, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Our View:Briggs also hasn't shown up for a large chunk of these workouts for the past two years. This shouldn't affect his IDP value.
