The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed defensive end Nick Eason to a two-year contract, according to Steelers.com. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Eason will be entering his sixth year in NFL and second season with the Steelers after originally signing with the team as an unrestricted free agent prior to the 2007 season. Eason has played in 46 career games, including all 16 games in 2007 for the Steelers - making one start at left end in place of the injured Aaron Smith.

The Broncos placed Nicholas Eason on injured reserve Friday with an Achilles tendon problem, according to the AP. The rookie defensive tackle is expected to recover in about three months but is now ineligible to play at all this season.
