Cowboys linebacker Bradie James left the team's game in St. Louis in the second quarter with a hyper-extended elbow.

Our View:No word on how serious the injury is, or if James will return to the game.

Dallas linebacker Bradie James seems quite high on himself and his Cowboys teammates, according to the Dallas Morning News. "We come in here, and I guess everybody expects us to be some kind of superheroes, which in essence we kind of are, but man ... I come in here on Monday, and I'm trying to enjoy my win, and people are, like, beating us up," James said.

Our View:Superheroes? Really? Although we have to admit it would be entertaining to see the Cowboys play their games with a cape. James is a fine linebacker, and has amassed 26 tackles this year, but he may have gone just a bit too far with this one.

Zach Thomas has said that new fellow inside linebacker, Bradie James, is a Pro Bowler and doesn't receive the publicity that he deserves, according to the Star-Telegram.

Our View:You know what? He is pretty good. James is entering his 6th year and has averaged 123 tackles per season since becoming a starter. He led the team in tackles for the third consecutive season last year. He also tallied three sacks and three fumble recoveries.

Linebacker Bradie James proved he could handle coverage responsibilities, leading to him being a three-down linebacker last year, but he's not likely to be on the field as much this year, according to the Dallas Morning News. "I would like to play third down because I feel like that gives me a better chance to go for individual accolades," James said, "but I've got to make it work out without playing third down."

Our View:During the offseason program, Kevin Burnett has handled the nickel and dime packages, while Zach Thomas, Bobby Carpenter and James are working in substitute packages. This development is obviously a negative hit on James' already questionable IDP value in 2008.

Bradie James will wear the defensive communicator in his helmet for the Cowboys this season, according to the Star-Telegram. James said, "I feel like I am going to break the thing because I play linebacker. I am going to try and break it. That's my goal is knock it out. We'll see how that things go. I'm still old-school in that manner."

Our View:James has been chosen over Zach Thomas, as he has more experience and seniority within the Cowboys' defense. James racked up 101 tackles (64 solo) in 2007, with three sacks and three fumble recoveries. Wearing the communicator ensures he will remain an every-down player, and should register another 100 tackle campaign.
