Newsbreakers
October 28, 2008
Coach Andy Reid praised fullback Dan Klecko following Sunday's win over the Falcons, according to the Philadelphia Daily News. Reid said, "I thought he blocked well, which we kind of expect. Then, when he had a chance to catch the football, he's had a catch in the last two games. The first time, he didn't have an opportunity to run. This time, he did. He's pretty explosive for a noseguard."

Our View:Klecko is a good hardnosed blocker as a fullback, but will hold no fantasy value.

Dan Klecko will start at fullback for Philadelphia, despite the team signing Kyle Eckel, according to the Philadelphia Daily News. "It's Klecko's job, that's whose job it is," Eagles coach Andy Reid said.

Our View:Klecko has two sacks this season as a defensive tackle, but the team apparently believes he is more valuable as a lead blocker. Where he does not have value is in fantasy leagues.

Dan Klecko will be used mainly as a fullback in Week 6 at San Francisco, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. Coach Andy Reid said, "Dan Klecko will get a few more reps in there at fullback."

Our View:He played fullback almost exclusively during yesterday's practice, and his jersey number changed from 68 to 49, representing his move from defensive tackle to fullback. Coach Reid has been displeased with Tony Hunt's blocking, and would likely use Hunt more at running back for depth with Brian Westbrook ailing.

The Eagles have indicated that Dan Klecko will make the final roster, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. He will serve as the No. 4 defensive tackle and D.C. Jim Johnson said, "He looks pretty good to me. He had a good game the other night, and he's had a great camp. He's got such great quickness and good football sense, and he loves to play. He's a high-motor guy."

Our View:Klecko will hold no fantasy value as a defensive tackle, but could sneak in a touchdown or two if given some reps at fullback.
June 9, 2008
Dan Klecko has been moved back to defensive tackle, according to ProFootballTalk.com. Klecko has been tried out at fullback, but the team signed Luke Lawton to vie for the job, and Klecko was sent back to his natural position on defense.

Our View:Klecko will have to compete for playing time at defensive tackle in a talented group that includes Mike Patterson, Brodrick Bunkley, Trevor Laws, and Montae Reagor.
