Asante Samuel practiced Friday and is expected to start Sunday at Cincinnati, according to the Philadelphia Daily News. He has been dealing with a sore hip but coach Andy Reid said, "He practiced all day. He's fine."

Our View:Samuel hasn't been racking up many tackles this season with the Eagles, but hauled in three interceptions. He will be counted on to slow down Chad Johnson and the Bengals' aerial attack.

Asante Samuel did not practice on Thursday because of his injured hip, according to the Bengals Official Website.

Our View:Samuel was not on the injury report for Wednesday, so make sure you check in on his status at practice before you roll with him in your lineup this weekend.

Asante Samuel believes he is fully recovered from the hamstring ailment that confined him to the sidelines for most of training camp, according to the Eagles.com.

Our View:Samuel will make his Eagles' debut Thursday as the starting left cornerback. Sheldon Brown is slated to start on the right side, with Lito Sheppard working in a nickel role. Coach Andy Reid hopes to get a full half out of Samuel, who hauled in six interceptions in his final campaign with New England in 2007.

Asante Samuel has returned to practice Sunday for the first time since July 26 due to a strained hamstring, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Our View:His return left Lito Sheppard and Sheldon Brown rotating at right cornerback with the first-team defense.

New Eagles cornerback Asante Samuel will not be available to play when the team opens the preseason against the Steelers, reports NFL.com. Samuel is still suffering from a strained hamstring.

Our View:Samuel has been sidelined for some time with this hamstring injury, and the date of his return is still up in the air.
