Newsbreakers
November 6, 2008
Kevin Walter missed Wednesday's practice with a back ailment, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Our View:Walter is an under-rated fantasy receiver as he scored five touchdowns over eight games. The team is yet to update his playing status for Sunday's battle with Baltimore.
November 5, 2008
Kevin Walter praised Sage Rosenfels, who will start at quarterback this weekend against Baltimore in place of the injured Matt Schaub (knee), according to the Houston Chronicle. Walter said, "It helps to know you’re going to be a starter that week rather than that day. It’s going to be good for all of us. I think Sage is the best backup in the league. He’s a good quarterback. We’re fortunate enough to have him."

Our View:This is encouraging news, but Rosenfels remains a risky fantasy option against the Ravens' fourth ranked pass defense in his first start of the season.

Kevin Walter was able to fully practice Thursday and will start Sunday at Minnesota, according to the Houston Chronicle. He missed Wednesday's practice while nursing his knee injury.

Our View:Andre Johnson will likely be matched up with the elite Antoine Winfield, leaving Walter with a favorable match-up on the other side against Cedric Griffin, who is merely adequate as an NFL cornerback.
October 26, 2008
Wide receiver Kevin Walter caught five passes for 70 yards and two touchdowns in the Week 8 win over the Bengals.

Our View:Life is nice when the defense has to focus so much on Andre Johnson. And Walter's second touchdown came after a defensive back failed to touch him down. He is worth a spot on fantasy rosters and is useful in the right matchups.
September 28, 2008
Wide receiver Kevin Walter caught eight passes for 76 yards and two touchdowns in the Week 4 loss to Jacksonville.

Our View:After three games, Walter has compiled 15 receptions for 133 yards and three scores. With Andre Johnson on the opposite side, Walter will never see any double teams and the Texans have a favorable schedule over the next month.
