Antonio Chatman has been placed on season-ending injured-reserve due to a cervical injury, according to the Associated Press. The club signed offensive tackle Dennis Roland from their practice squad as the adjoining move.

Our View:Chatman will be missed as a return man, but held little fantasy value as a backup receiver.

Wide receiver Antonio Chatman is to be released from University Hospital later Monday after getting wheeled off the field Sunday strapped to a board with a cervical injury, according to Bengals.com. X-rays were normal and Chatman has use of his limbs but he's probably not going to play Thursday.

Our View:Chatman has 21 catches and no touchdowns this season. He is not worth rostering for fantasy football purposes.

October 24, 2008
Antonio Chatman missed Thursday's practice while nursing an ankle injury, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Our View:Chatman held little value as a slot receiver in a struggling Bengals' passing attack, and won't be missed by fantasy owners if he is unable to go this weekend against the Texans. He isn't a great return man either.

Antonio Chatman is the leading candidate for the number three receiver role out of the slot, according to Bengals.com. He is healthy and has retained his quickness and agility.

Our View:He will serve as a solid compliment to studs Chad Johnson and Houshmandzadeh. He only averaged 7.8 yards per reception in 2007, but was slowed by injuries, and that number will go up to a more favorable level if he can stay healthy. He has potential to be a late-round sleeper.
February 26, 2008
The Bengals re-signed Antonio Chatman to a two-year contract on Tuesday, according to SportsTicker. Chatman was eligible to become an unrestricted free agent. He caught just 19 passes for 149 yards and a touchdown in 2007 and is unlikely to do much more in 2008.
