Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald has a restraining order out to stay away from his child's mother after an alleged domestic disturbance, according to ProFootballWeekly.com. Apparently, he and the woman got into an argument, and after she hit him, he threw her across the room and slammed her on the ground.

Our View:This is just one side to the story, of course, but it was reported that the woman had large chunks of her hair pulled out in the process. No word on if he will face any disciplinary action.

Our View:He did a fine job picking up the slack with Anquan Boldin out over the last two games, gaining 231 yards with three scores. Fitzgerald finishes the season with a spectacular 1,431 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Our View:Fitzgerald did very little until a 78-yard touchdown catch late in the game. He should be able to get back on track next week vs. Seattle as long as he plays long enough.

Our View:The Cardinals' offense struggled tonight, but fantasy owners should be very pleased with Fitzgerald's production. He closed out November with 34 receptions for 414 yards and three scores.

Our View:This game put Fitzgerald over 1000 receiving yards for the third time in his five-year career. He is on pace to set a new career high in receiving yards, which is 1409 yards which he reached in both 2005 and 2007.

Our View:Fitzgerald only had 52 yards receiving in Week 5 but the he has not tallied four touchdown receptions in 2008.

Our View:Count on him to reach that mark this Sunday against the Jets. After three games, Fitz has 293 yards and two touchdowns on 16 catches. Had he not missed four games over the past four seasons, he could have placed higher on this list.

Larry Fitzgerald has been "impressive" running every route so far in camp at full speed and has worked incredibly hard, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View:Fitzgerald missed a game last season but still pulled in 100 receptions for the second time in three seasons. His value depends somewhat on who ends up under center for the club, but no matter who is tossing the passes Fitzgerald will be a WR1 this season.

According to ProFootballTalk.com, it took a while, but the Larry Fitzgerald contract is finally complete. Per a league source, the Arizona Cardinals have finally finished the new contract with Fitzgerald, more than ten days after it was announced that a deal was done. The extension reportedly is worth $40 million over four years.

Larry Fitzgerald's new four-year, $40 million contract extension isn't official yet, according to the Arizona Republic. Arizona general manager Rod Graves said the lawyers are still going over the “nitty-gritty’s” of the contract, which is hindering the organization’s ability to sign other players. The Fitzgerald situation has placed a hold on the team's pursuit of outside linebacker Brandon Chillar. The Cardinals want Chillar but won't have the cap space to sign him until Fitzgerald's deal becomes official.

The Arizona Cardinals have reached a four-year, $40 million contract agreement with All-Pro wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, according to Pro Football Talk. Fitzgerald will reportedly receive $33 million over the next three years including $30 million in guaranteed money. This transaction will give the Arizona front office some wiggle room under the salary cap.

A league source states that the Eagles have talked to the Cardinals about Fitzgerald, but the talk never went beyond an inquiry. The source also stated directly that he will not be traded, even if they once had a desire to do so. Lito Sheppard is still expected to get dealt however.

It would appear the frustrations of contract talks gone awry, and more to the point, the public reports of such dischord, have led the Philadelphia Eagles to make an official offer to obtain the services of WR Larry Fitzgerald , according to the Arizona Republic. Kent Somers reports the Eagles have contacted the Cardinals and are rumored to have offered, as part of any potential trade, WR Reggie Brown and CB Lito Sheppard. Both sides claim to be attempting to come to a resolution for a problem that centers around the team's growing concerns about fulfilling incentive-laden responsibilities put forth in Fitzgerald's contract that will put the Cardinals on the hook for over $32 million over the next two seasons. The Cardinals have made significant strides over the past year, and Fitz has been a tremendous contributor to that cause... thus his ability to meet and/or exceed every incentive in his contract. Other teams, like Philadelphia, recognize the young WRs talent and future and are going to give the Cardinals options to consider. Stay tuned folks. This is going to get interesting. Fitz could (and probably should) stay in Arizona, but there are teams that will be making offers above and beyond the level of sanity. Arizona would be foolish not to consider all offers, other teams would be foolish not to make an attempt, and we would all be foolish not to give it our full attention.

The restructuring of Larry Fitzgerald's contract appears no closer to fruition than it was a month ago, and the rumblings of frustration are growing within the organization, according to the Arizona Republic. Fitzgerald was the third overall pick in 2004, and he signed a deal laden with incentives that would pay him handsomely if he became an elite player. Included in that rookie contract were clauses that would bump his 2008 salary by $10 million should he chosen for two Pro Bowls in his first four years, and by $11 million in 2009 for other achievements. As a result the organization is on the hook for $32 million over the next two seasons. So far, both sides are saying all the right things. The Cardinals insist Fitzgerald will play for them in 2008, even at a salary of $14.6 million. Fitzgerald's agent, Eugene Parker, said team officials have reassured him that Fitzgerald is going nowhere, even if a new deal isn't reached.

If there isn’t substantial progress toward a new deal in the next week or so, the Cardinals might have no choice but to consider trading wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, according to Pro Football Weekly. Presently, the major hang-up in contract talks with Fitzgerald’s agent, Eugene Parker, is the amount of guaranteed money his client would receive. Not helping matters are the hefty contracts that have been doled out to lesser receivers early in this year’s free-agent market. Philadelphia has reportedly offered cornerback Lito Sheppard and a 2008 second-round pick, but its thought that Arizona would demand a considerable haul if they were to move Fitzgerald.

Larry Fitzgerald, who is currently renegotiating his contract, wants about $7 million more than the Arizona Cardinals have offered, according to CBS Sports. GM Rod Graves has offered Fitzgerald a four-year deal including $25 million in guarantees. On the flip side, Fitzgerald wants $32.5 million in guarantees, which is in the ballpark of what Detroit WR Calvin Johnson received last year prior to his rookie campaign. Fitzgerald has some leverage in this situation, because he is currently a drain on the Cardinals salary cap. By reworking the receiver's deal, it could give the team room to sign Steelers soon to be free agent offensive guard Alan Faneca. "I feel like the talks have been progressing," GM Rod Graves said of negotiations with Fitzgerald's agent, Eugene Parker. "I don't want to over-characterize our discussions. But at Sunday's Pro Bowl, Fitzgerald backed off the trade requests. "I want it to work out in Arizona," Fitzgerald said. The Cardinals have made a contract extension offer in an effort to lower Larry Fitzgerald’s monstrous salary cap figure for 2008, according to the team's official website. General manager Rod Graves declined to get specific about the offer but did say it is substantial enough to raise Fitzgerald near the top of the NFL contract food chain. “Larry has proven himself to be an elite player, and the offer would put him among the elite players,” Graves said. “We feel good about our offer.” Fitzgerald’s salary is scheduled to be $14.6 million this season, with a cap number around $16 million.
