As expected, Lee Evans has signed a multi-year extension with the Bills, according to the Bills' official website. It is believed to be a four-year extension worth $37.25 million.

Our View:Evans is off to a great start with 14 receptions for 332 yards and a score, and helped guide the Bills to a 4-0 record.

The Buffalo Bills and receiver Lee Evans have been talking for more than half of a year about a new contract, and it seems that talks have finally moved in a positive direction, according to Pro Football Weekly.

Our View:Evans has had a great year, totaling 332 yards on 14 receptions with one touchdown catch. He is averaging 23.7 yards per reception, and is the team's best deep threat.

Lee Evans had two receptions for 88 yards and a touchdown for the Bills in Week 4 vs. St. Louis.

Our View:The receptions were for 49 and 39 yards. While Evans has been productive, it was only his first touchdown of the season on Sunday. Still, he is well on his way to re-establishing himself as a top fantasy option with 15 receptions and 332 yards after a sub-par 2007 season.

Lee Evans reports that contract talks between he and the Bills are heating up according to the AP. "We’re a lot closer. We have closed the gap," said Evans, who’s entering the final year of his contract. "Hopefully, we can get it done sooner than later. But I’m not really worried.

Our View:In two games, he has a team-leading eight catches for 179 yards, which is plenty for a receiver that had difficulty cracking 200 yards in the first month of each of his first four seasons—and had a meager 22 at this point last year. Evans’ role in particular has changed. Unlike in the past, when Evans would almost exclusively line up on the outside as the Bills’ deep threat, the receiver is being moved around to keep defenses guessing. It helps, too, that Buffalo is getting other players involved: eight Bills have at least one catch so far.
September 14, 2008
Lee Evans posted four receptions for 77 yards in the Bills victory over Jacksonville.

Our View:Evans, who is a notoriously slow starter, has posted solid digits during the first two weeks of the season. He hasn't hit paydirt, but Evans has compiled eight receptions for 179 yards during the first two weeks of 2008.
