Tommie Harris was held out of Wednesday's practice while nursing his ailing left knee, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

Our View:He holds no value for IDP leagues, but is an elite NFL defensive tackle, and Ryan Grant and the Packers' ground attack would benefit if he is unable to go this weekend at Lambeau Field.

Our View:The Bears did not seem to be to worried about the status of Harris on Wednesday but did say they would know more as the week progressed.

Bears defensive tackle Tommie Harris will be in the lineup Week 7 when the team takes on the Atlanta Falcons, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

Our View:The Bears didn't seem to have any problems without the suspended Harris last week, but that was against the hapless Lions.

Bears defensive tackle Tommie Harris was suspended for one game, and the reasons for that are now clear. Besides missing treatment on his knee, he also got into an argument with coach Lovie Smith about releasing receiver Mark Bradley, and is having trouble dealing with having a child out of wedlock, according to the Chicago Tribune. "You just don't know how much having a child out of wedlock has weighed on me. When your own child doesn't live with you, when you have to go pick him up. ... I mean the whole thing has really affected my professional life," Harris said.

Our View:Harris was suspended for the team's game against Detroit, and he also indicated he was not happy with Smith for making the suspension public. He has a knee injury for which he was getting treatment, and may have missed the game anyway, which would have offered Smith an excuse not to go public with the suspension.
