Joey Thomas has been re-signed by the Dolphins after being waived by the team at the start of September, according to the Palm Beach Post.

Our View:Thomas will likely see some action on special teams and in dime packages, but should continue to be ignored in IDP leagues.

The Miami Dolphins have waived cornerback Joey Thomas, according to ESPN.com.

Our View:Thomas was simply depth for the Dolphins, who cut him because they needed the roster room to sign safety Tyrone Culver.

The Dolphins signed cornerback Joey Thomas on Friday, according to the AP. Thomas was a third-round draft pick in 2004 by Green Bay, where he spent his entire rookie season. He spent part of 2005 with the Saints, and was with the Cowboys during training camp last season.

The Saints were granted the rights to Joey Thomas on Thursday afternoon after claiming him on waivers, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. The Saints were one of five teams to put in a claim on Thomas, but they were awarded his right because they have the worst record. Thomas had played in six games this season for the Packers and had 16 tackles and three pass break-ups.
