Antwan Odom feels he is 100 percent recovered from his sprained left foot, according to the Dayton Daily News. He said, "I'm back. I'm 100 percent now. It feels good. I'll definitely be ready. It's a good matchup with Gaither. He's big and athletic and has some good hands. He's wide and broad. I've just got to get around him." The Bengals play the Ravens on Sunday.

Our View:Odom racked up eight sacks in 2007 with Tennessee and looks to fare well against tackle Jared Gaither, who is merely a fringe player.

Antwan Odom returned to practice Monday for the first time in five weeks, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. He had been recovering from a sprained left foot.

Our View:Frostee Rucker was taking first-team reps at right defensive end, but Odom should step into the starting role when he gets back up to speed. Odom registered eight sacks with Tennessee last season and was brough to Cincinnati with hopes of improving their weak pass rush. If healthy, Odom could be worth a look as a backup defensive lineman for IDP leagues.

Antwan Odom has shed the protective boot needed during his recovery from a sprained left foot, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. He is expected to resume practicing next week and could be ready to play Week 1 against Baltimore.

Our View:Odom racked up eight sacks for the Titans last season and was brought in to Cincinnati to improve a weak Bengals' pass rush. If healthy, he will start opposite Robert Geathers (with Justin Smith departed to San Francisco) and is worth a look as a backup defensive lineman in IDP leagues.

Antwan Odom has been diagnosed with a sprained foot after being carted off the field during Monday's practice. He has not timetable to return at this point.

Our View:He left the locker room on crutches and a protective boot after sustaining an ankle injury. The Bengals have a lot invested in Odom. He was brought in to improve a pass rush that ranked among the worst in the NFL in 2007.

Defensive end Antwan Odom has improved his upper-body strength, and now he's concentrating on weight gain so he can become a more physical pass rusher and run stopper at the point of attack. Odom is a sleek, slender end with the reputation of being a speed rusher, but he wants to enhance his image by being more rugged. He currently weighs 253, but promises to be at least 265 when he arrives for the Cincinnati Bengals training camp, according to the Sporting News.

Our View:Odom has never been much of a run stopper, but it appears he's working hard on that facet of his game in order to become a more complete defensive lineman. We will monitor his progress, as he already possesses solid upside potential as a pass rusher in the Bengals 4-3 scheme.
