The Bears signed linebacker Gilbert Gardner, according to the Associated Press. The team placed running back Garrett Wolfe on injured reserve as the corresponding move.

Our View:Gardner has served time with the Colts, Titans, and most recently the Lions. He was added as he is familiar with the Bears' cover-2 defense.

The Detroit Lions have signed linebacker Gilbert Gardner to an undisclosed contract, according to the Detroit News. Gardner, who has started 15 games in four NFL seasons, will provide Detroit with depth at linebacker. He is familiar with the Lions cover-2 scheme, which is a plus.
