Jacques Reeves is slated to start in place of Dunta Robinson, while the latter rehabilitates from knee and hamstring injuries, according to Pro Football Weekly. The signing of Jacques Reeves bolsters the Texans’ secondary depth and gives them a badly needed veteran cornerback with significant starting experience. The 5-11, 188-pound Reeves started 13 games for Dallas last season, breaking up 12 passes and intercepting one pass. Houston could also target the cornerback position in the first round of the NFL draft, as they are rumored to still be in the market for additional help in the defensive backfield.

The Texans have signed Jacques Reeves to a five-year, $20 million contract, according to the Houston Chronicle. "I'm very excited," said general manager Rick Smith. "We feel Reeves is a good, young player who is on the rise. And we think he will really add to a defense that is full of good, young players." Reeves had 59 tackles for the Cowboys last season and will compete to start opposite Fred Bennett in training camp.
