Jason Campbell looked indecisive Thursday night completing 15-of-27 passes for only 133 yards against the Giants. However, Campbell did manage to toss a 12-yard TD to Santana Moss with time winding down in the first-half. This would prove to be Washington's only score as they fell 16-7.

Our View:Campbell needs to make faster decisions and develop a quicker release. Until this happens expect a lot of inconsistent play from this young QB.

Redskins quarterback Jason Campbell said he is disappointed with rookie wide receivers Malcolm Kelly and Devin Thomas, and that they need to step up, according to ESPN.com. "I told them this was the real deal. They needed to show up on time for meetings and to study. We need them out there," he said.

Our View:The two second-round picks have not been good in the preseason, dealing with injuries and an inability to learn the offense. Campbell is trying to mold himself into an upper echelon quarterback, and many fantasy owners are expecting the same thing. Kelly and Thomas will need to perform for that to happen.

Jason Campbell had a brutal night on Thursday as he was just 1-for-4 for three yards and an interception as he was unable to lead the 'Skins to any offense at all in three series under center. Later in the game, Colt Brennan appeared and went 13-for-18 for 119 yards.

Our View:Campbell is the key to the redskins offense this year in Jim Zorn's new offense. Campbell is a solid QB2 heading into the season, tonight's effort notwithstanding.

The Washington Post reports that Jim Zorn was very impressed with how quarterback Jason Campbell looked on Tuesday, making decisive throws and showing a willingness to unload the ball to a particular area even if a receiver was not entirely in the clear. "Jason Campbell today was lights out," Zorn said after the morning practice. "He pushed through a lot of decisions."

Our View:This is great news for those considering Campbell as a late round backup quarterback selection. He is entering his second season as the starter in Washington and has a good amount of weapons surrounding him. Fantasy-wise, he is on the cusp of becoming a top-20 quarterback.
June 26, 2008
Jason Campbell is looking comfortable and could have a successful season in new head coach Jim Zorn's offense, reports ESPN.com. Campbell was successful running a similar offense in college at Auburn.

Our View:Campbell was making great progress before injuring his knee in week 13 of the 2007 NFL season. He completed 60% of his passes and had 12 touchdowns compared to 11 interceptions. If he can improve a bit under Zorn, Campbell will be a legitimate option as a fantasy quarterback.
