April 22, 2006 As expected, the Packers have released Terrence Murphy from their roster due to the neck injury that ended his 2005 season early, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. "After several tests and consultations, we have concluded that Terrence will not be cleared to play for the Green Bay Packers,” General Manager Ted Thompson said in a statement. “Terrence is an outstanding person and player who is very well thought of by everyone within the Packers family. We wish him nothing but the best in whatever direction his life takes him.” |

April 20, 2006 The Packers are expected to release Terrence Murphy in the near future, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Constitution. The club is concerned about the risk of playing Murphy, because he has a narrowing of the spinal canal. How he is let go will depend on whether he can pass a physical, but regardless, it looks like the Packers will move on without him. |
