Tab Perry has agreed to a one-year contract with the Dolphins that will pay him a little less than a million dollars, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. He missed most of last season due to hip surgery but should give the Dolphins a quality returner.

Wide receiver Tab Perry had hip surgery and was placed on injured reserve, prematurely ending his season for the second consecutive year. “It never seemed to come around and we needed the spot, so we made the move,” Bengals coach Marvin Lewis told the Cincinnati Enquirer. “He spoke to [another doctor] and they said, ‘Why don’t we try this now and maybe we can fix you for good?’ I think he chose to take that route because he was having some discomfort. If all goes well, Tab should come back and be able to play football.”

Tab Perry, who hasn't played since suffering a hamstring injury in week two, has been ruled out of Sunday's game with the Chiefs with a hip injury. Perry missed 14 games last season with a hip injury, though the Cincinnati Enquirer said it is not known if the injuries are related. Perry was a candidate to fill Chris Henry's role as the Bengals' third receiver, but he's been too banged up to do much of anything. Meanwhile, Chad Johnson and T.J. Houshmandzadeh have more than picked up the slack and Henry's return could be just around the corner.

Wide receiver Tab Perry , who left the Bengals’ loss to the Browns on Sunday because of a hamstring injury, “doesn’t look to be available this week,” head coach Marvin Lewis told the Cincinnati Enquirer.
