Romeo Crennel reiterated there is competition at every position, including quarterback, at this year's training camp, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. On the flip side, general manager Phil Savage clarified those remarks: "The reality is you don't give a guy $8 million and expect him to be in an open competition," Savage said of incumbent starter Derek Anderson. "He would have to play really poorly and Brady (Quinn) would have to play lights out (to beat him out)." Translation: It would make me look really bad if Brady Quinn was the starter in 2008, after I just handed a boatload of money to Derek Anderson.

Donte' Stallworth, who was recently released by the New England Patriots, will visit the Cleveland Browns, according to the CantonRep. The Browns have been active already trading for defensive tackle Corey Williams and signing quarterback Derek Anderson to a new deal. It's no secret that the organization wants to upgrade the wide receiver corps, and Stallworth probably wouldn't break the bank in terms of a deal.

The Cleveland Browns have agreed to a multi-year contract with quarterback Derek Anderson, according to ESPN. Thus far, the terms are undisclosed due to minor details that need to be completed on the contract. It looks like Brady Quinn will continue to collect splinters, at least for the immediate future.
