Derek Anderson separated his shoulder in the Week 16 loss to Tampa Bay, according to Sports Network. Ken Dorsey will replace Anderson in the lineup in Week 17.

Browns coach Romeo Crennel announced on Wednesday that Derek Anderson will be the starter once again in Week 16, according to the Browns website. This will be Anderson's third straight start in place of Charlie Frye, who is dealing with a wrist injury.

Browns coach Romeo Crennel indicated yesterday that Derek Anderson has shown enough to give Charlie Frye some competition for the starting job, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Anderson could see more action this season, even after Frye recovers from his injury. "I think that he's done enough to make it intriguing," said Crennel. "Going down the road, I think that we'll have to evaluate it and see how we're going to handle it and what we're going to do."

Derek Anderson will start for the Browns tonight against the Steelers, according to the team's official site. It will be the first career start for Anderson, who is filling in for an injured Charlie Frye. Frye will be the third-string QB.

The Browns are still waiting for Charlie Frye's MRI results, but the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports there are strong indications that Derek Anderson will get the nod on Thursday. Coach Romeo Crennel will make an official call once he sees the test results.

Derek Anderson filled in for the injured Charlie Frye in the second half Sunday, and led the Browns to a 31-28 overtime victory over the Chiefs. He threw for 171 yards, two TDs and an interception in the win. The severity of Frye's injury isn't known, so we'll have to wait and see which QB will start in Week 14.
