Laurence Maroney was held to 46 yards on 19 carries Saturday against the Giants, though he ran in two touchdowns and also had a two-point conversion.

The Patriots were mum on the status of Laurence Maroney on Monday, and conflicting reports indicated he may or may not have suffered an injury in the win over the Bills. The Boston Globe continues to report that Maroney suffered a foot injury that caused him to miss the second half, but the Boston Herald quoted Maroney as responding "Not that I know of," when asked if he had suffered an injury. The Herald speculates that Maroney was pulled from the game after failing to identify a couple of different cut-back opportunities, while the Globe is assuming L-Mo was injured. We'll learn more about this situation on Wednesday when the first injury report comes out.

Laurence Maroney exited Sunday night's game in the second quarter with a foot injury, according to the Boston Globe. He didn't return, though it wasn't clear how much that decision was based on the injury or the fact the Pats were already blowing out the Bills. Kevin Faulk also left the game early, so Heath Evans and Kyle Eckel took carries.

Laurence Maroney has yet to score a touchdown this season, and he doesn't really care. "Have you seen the victories we have?" Maroney told the Boston Globe. "I'm happy even though I haven't reached the end zone. Everybody wants to reach the end zone. I feel like my time is coming sooner than later. As long as we keep winning, I don't care if I never make it to the end zone." Maroney scored seven times in a backup role last year and has been a huge disappointment this year. With Tom Brady and the passing game doing all of the Patriots scoring, it's tough to envision a huge turnaround for L-Mo.

Laurence Maroney returned from his groin injury on Sunday but did little in fantasy terms. Maroney, Kevin Faulk and Kyle Eckel each had six carries, and Heath Evans carried the ball four times. Maroney led them all with 31 yards. The Pats continued to air the ball out, as Tom Brady threw six touchdown passes, so they didn't need to ask Maroney to do much in his first game in a month. He should be more involved next week against the Redskins.
