October 28, 2008 It has been disclosed that Tarvaris Jackson was absent from Monday's practice so he could attend to a medical issue with his son, according to the Our View:Assuming his son is fine, Jackson likely will be back at practice Wednesday. |

September 21, 2008 ESPN's Mike Ditka reported this morning that the decision to bench quarterback Tarvaris Jackson came from above head coach Brad Childress. Our View:Sounds like Vikings owner Zygmunt Wilf is emulating Al Davis, which cannot be construed as a good thing. |

September 20, 2008 It seems that demoted quarterback Tarvaris Jackson and new starter Gus Frerotte do not speak to each other, according to the Our View:The relationship between the two is not said to be icy, but it does seem odd that they don't speak at all, simply considering how close in proximity they must be to each other all day. |

September 17, 2008 Tarvaris Jackson has been demoted to second string after two straight poor performances to start the season, according to ESPN. Veteran Gus Frerotte will take over the starting gig. Our View:Coach Brad Childress recently backed Jackson, but he apparently had a quick change of heart. |
