Leonard Pope is probable for Sunday's game at Seattle, according to the East Valley Tribune. He has been dealing with an ankle injury but was able to practice Friday.

Our View:Pope is the Cardinals' starting tight end, but has been a non-factor in the passing game with only five receptions for 36 yards over seven games. He has a favorable match-up against the Seahawks' 31st ranked pass defense, but is not a recommended fantasy option.

Coach Ken Whisenhunt stated that the club needs to get more production at tight end, according to the East Valley Tribune. Whisenhunt said, "Hopefully, we can find one that will play a little better. We’ll have to make a decision on who we’re going to go with and stick with that."

Our View:Leonard Pope is the acting starter, but has only caught five passes for 36 yards and is yet to score a touchdown, despite playing in one of the NFL's best passing attacks. He could be demoted if another tight end emerges, such as Ben Patrick.

Leonard Pope missed practice again on Thursday, according to the Arizona Republic. Pope is not expected to play in Week 10 for the Cardinals.

Our View:Pope is unowned in virtually all leagues, and should stay that way as he's expected to miss this week. If he's somehow still on your roster, drop him.
November 5, 2008
Cardinals tight end Leonard Pope did not participate in practice on Wednesday with an injured ankle, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View:Pope has missed the Cardinals last two games and the team is trying to get him ready for a Monday night football match-up against the 49ers.

Tight end Leonard Pope will be out for the Cardinals Week 9 game against the Rams due to an injured ankle, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View:This weekend will be the second straight game that Pope will miss.
October 26, 2008
Cardinals inactives: QB Brian St. Pierre (3rd), DB Oliver Celestin, T Elliot Vallejo, T Brandon Keith, DT Alan Branch, TE Leonard Pope, TE Ben Patrick, DE Kenny Iwebema.

Our View:As expected, wide receiver Anquan Boldin (head) is active. The Cardinals are without the services tight ends Leonard Pope and Ben Patrick, which could result in even more targets for the wide receiver corps.
October 24, 2008
As expected, Leonard Pope (ankle) has been ruled out of the Cardinals Week 8 game, according to The Arizona Republic. Ben Patrick (knee) returned to practice on Friday for the first time since October 5th.

Our View:Patrick isn't expected to do much of anything even if he plays, so the team will have to count on their only healthy tight end, Jermane Truman, to play a whole lot of downs this weekend.
October 23, 2008
Tight end Leonard Pope was in a walking boot on Thursday, according to the Arizona Republic. He has a sore right ankle and right foot and he is very questionable to play on Sunday.

Our View:The big tight end holds no fantasy value as he is usually fourth or fifth on Kurt Warner's progressions.
October 9, 2008
Tight end Leonard Pope was a full participant in practice on Thursday according to the team's website. He should be ready to go for Week 6.

Our View:Pope has only three receptions in five games this season and does not hold any fantasy value, with or without Anquan Boldin in the lineup.
October 3, 2008
Tight end Leonard Pope is listed as questionable with a bum ankle according to the team's website.

Our View:Pope has been largely ineffective through four games with just two catches for 20 yards and no touchdowns.
October 2, 2008
Leonard Pope was unable to practice Thursday due to his ankle ailment, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View:Even if he is able to play, he should not be considered for fantasy lineups against a tough Bills' defense. Pope only registered two receptions for 20 yards so far this season.
September 27, 2008
The Arizona Republic reports Leonard Pope is questionable for Sunday's game against the Jets with an unspecified injury to his lower right leg.

Our View:Pope has little value in fantasy leagues, but even less for Week 4.
July 28, 2008
Leonard Pope returned to practice for the first time since sustaining a dislocated ankle and fractured leg in the 13th game last season, according to the Arizona Republic. He said, "I'm trying to get back into the swing of things. I'm not way behind. It's just that I haven't played in a while."

Our View:Pope could not afford to miss much practice time, as he is being challenged by Ben Patrick for the starting role at tight end. The team has Jerame Tuman pushing for playing time as well.
July 21, 2008
Cardinals' GM Rod Graves mentioned that tight end Leonard Pope may not be ready for the start of training camp due to an ankle ailment, according to Cardinals.com.

Our View:Pope is a number two fantasy tight end, at best, and will not be worth taking a chance on during your draft if he doesn't appear to be healthy.
