Ravens receiver Demetrius Williams was put on injured reserve and will have surgery to repair a bone spur underneath his Achilles' tendon, according to the Baltimore Sun.

Our View:Williams was not much of a fantasy option, as he has 13 catches for 180 yards one one score. He seemingly has the potential to produce, but just hasn't turned the corner yet.

Demetrius Williams did not practice all week due to an injured ankle but is still being listed as questionable to play in Week 8, according to the Ravens Official Website.

Our View:Though he officially has a 50-50 shot of playing, he doesn't seem to realistically have much shot of producing anything even if he does play so look elsewhere for help at the receiver position.

Ravens receiver Demetrius Williams could take some playing time away from Mark Clayton in the future, according to Pro Football Weekly.

Our View:Williams has 12 catches for 110 yards, but even if he does see more time, he won't be fantasy-worthy as in the early stages of Joe Flacco's development as a quarterback.
October 15, 2008
Demetrius Williams missed Wednesday's practice for an undisclosed reason, according to the Baltimore Sun.

Our View:The Ravens consider him day-to-day. Williams could be a dangerous vertical threat, but has been limited with rookie Joe Flacco directing the Ravens' aerial attack, and does not merit fantasy consideration if cleared to play against Miami.
October 4, 2008
Demetrius Williams has just five catches for 35 yards so far this year, but offensive coordinator Cam Cameron says that Williams is just now getting healthy, according to the Carroll County Times. "Demetrius is the healthiest I've seen him since I've been here," Cameron said.

Our View:Williams has a lot of talent, but he is limited by the fact that he's No. 3 on the depth chart and has rookie Joe Flacco throwing to him.
