Delanie Walker was given a a contract extension by the 49ers worth $6 million for the next three years, according to the Santa Rosa Press Democrat. $1.8 million of that was in the form of a signing bonus.

Our View:Walker had only 21 receptions that season and is clearly the teams second option at tight end behind Vernon Davis, so it sure seems like an awful lot of dough to throw at a backup unless the Niners plan to have Walker more heavily involved this season.
