August 31, 2008 Seattle wide out Ben Obomanu was placed on the injured reserve list, ending his season and making the Seahawks depth at the position perilously thin, according to Our View:Obomanu broke his clavicle and would not be healthy enough to make an impact with the team, so he was put on IR. Seattle is hurting at receiver as Deion Branch and Bobby Engram are also dealing with injuries. |

August 30, 2008 Seattle reports an already-thin group of receivers has gotten thinner as Ben Obomanu suffered a broken clavicle that may have ended his season, according to the Our View:The injury moves everybody up a notch on the depth chart on the same day final roster cuts are due. Courtney Taylor may be the big benefactor but Logan Payne is likely to find a roster spot now as well, though Holmgren was not willing to rule out Michael Bumpus, who led the team with three catches and 53 yards. |

January 5, 2007 The Seahawks promoted Ben Obomanu from the practice squad Friday to bolster their receiving corps with Darrell Jackson and D.J. Hackett hurt. Obomanu was Seattle's second seventh-round pick in last April's draft. |
