DeDe Dorsey, who is nursing a severely strained hamstring, is expected to be limited at the beginning of training camp on July 28, according to the Dayton Daily News.

Our View:Dorsey is in a tough spot to make the Bengals' roster, as the team is crowded and talented at the running back position, and even undrafted rookie James Johnson is performing well in practice and is a contender to make the club.
June 14, 2008
Bengals coach Marvin Lewis has gone out of his way to express satisfaction with the work of undrafted rookie James Johnson at running back, noting JJ as one of the team's best players at the recent minicamp sessions, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Our View:Marvin Lewis isn't one to throw praise often, thus the compliments for the former Kansas State rusher carry a bit of weight, especially with DeDe Dorsey fighting to find health.
June 13, 2008
It has been revealed that DeDe Dorsey suffered a pulled hamstring during practice on Thursday, according to Scout.com. He was taken off the field on a cart, and left the team facility on crutches. Coach Marvin Lewis commented that the team will not know his status until training camp.

Our View:Dorsey was fighting for the number three spot on the Bengals' roster behind Rudi Johnson and Kenny Watson and his injury will hurt his chances to make the team, if he isn't ready to compete at the start of training camp.
June 12, 2008
DeDe Dorsey was taken off the field this morning on a cart, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Our View:He left the stadium on crutches, and the team is yet to update his condition. Dorsey was competing for the third spot on the Bengals depth chart at running back behind Rudi Johnson and Kenny Watson.
March 24, 2008
DeDe Dorsey will be ready for the Cincinnati Bengals’ May mini-camps, according to CincinnatiBengals.com. Dorsey, who ended the ’07 season on injured reserve due to a high ankle sprain, is a reserve running back and special teams player.
